Solid Waste & Recycling

How We Serve You

Solid Waste services help keep Grays Harbor County clean, safe, and healthy. By providing reliable places to dispose of garbage and recycle materials, to help illegal dumping, reduces pollution, and protects local land and water. These services also support the community by managing waste responsibly, offering options for hard-to-dispose items, and encouraging recycling and waste reduction. This helps preserve natural resources and improves the overall quality of life for residents.

Where Your Garbage Goes

All rural transfer stations were closed as of February 1, 2013.  Grays Harbor County is no longer burying municipal solid waste in the County, our landfills are full and closed. All garbage brought in is processed at an on-site transfer station. Once processed, the garbage is trucked to the Wasco Landfill in The Dalles, OR. The garbage is then buried at the Roosevelt Regional Landfill, owned by Allied Waste Systems Inc.
