Public Safety & Reporting

The Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement services across Grays Harbor County, including investigations, civil process service, and public safety programs.  Residents can submit certain non-emergency reports online.

Community Safety Services

The Sheriff’s Office works to prevent crime and keep communities safe through patrol, education, and specialized response teams.  Deputies respond to calls for service, investigate crimes, and patrol neighborhoods across the county. They are strategically assigned throughout the County to improve response times and maintain a visible presence. We also focus on preventing crime before it happens by working with the community and providing safety education.

Patrol & Response

Deputies patrol communities, respond to emergencies, and investigate crimes. Traffic enforcement helps reduce accidents and improve road safety.

Crime Prevention

We provide education and outreach to help residents prevent crime. This includes neighborhood awareness, safety tips, and community partnerships.

 

Animal Control

We respond to dangerous animals and animal-related complaints to help keep people and pets safe.  New reports are made through the Sheriff’s Office communications center at (360) 533-8765.

K-9 Unit

Our K-9 teams assist with locating suspects, searching for evidence, and supporting law enforcement operations. These trained teams help improve response effectiveness and public safety.

Marine Services Unit

Deputies patrol local waterways and assist with search and rescue operations. This is especially important during flood seasons and for water-related emergencies.

Regional Response & Task Forces

We work with other agencies to respond to critical incidents and address drug-related crimes through regional task forces.

Drug Task Force (DTF)

Grays Harbor County has a multijurisdictional Drug Task Force (DTF) that is comprised primarily of officers from the Aberdeen Police Department, Hoquiam Police Department and the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office.  The Grays Harbor County Drug Task Force investigates drug crimes.
