Exam Announcements
The GHC Civil Service Commission authorizes the establishment of eligibility lists for use by the GHC Sheriff's Office for entry-level and lateral hiring, as well as for promotions. All lists are established through an examination process. Below you will see links specific to entry-level and lateral examinations.
Entry-Level: Applications for entry-level Correction Deputy and entry-level Deputy Sheriff will be accepted continuously throughout the year. Quarterly exams will be conducted per the schedule at the 2025 Exam Schedule link below. To access exam information and to apply for exams, click on either the Government Jobs link (preferred) or the Word file. Both links describe the exams that must be passed in order to qualify for eligibility listing.
Lateral: The Lateral Corrections Deputy link and the Lateral Deputy Sheriff link remain continuously open for recruitment. In both cases, each Notice of Examination will give instructions on the testing process.
Questions may be directed to Lisa Ballou, Chief Examiner (contact information above).
