Board of Equalization
Welcome
The Grays Harbor County Board of Equalization (BOE) is an independent, quasi-judicial board established to ensure property assessments are fair, accurate, and equitable. Governed by Washington State law and the Department of Revenue guidelines, the BOE serves as a neutral entity for taxpayers who wish to appeal property value assessments made by the County Assessor’s Office.
The BOE is committed to providing taxpayers with accessible and impartial hearings, allowing property owners the opportunity to present their evidence and seek adjustments to assessed property values. Hearings may be attended in person or virtually, and taxpayers are encouraged to submit clear, market-based evidence to support their appeal.
The Board consists of three appointed members, each representing a different district in Grays Harbor County, with support from the Clerk of the Board.
Current Board Members:
- District 1: Liz Marriott
- District 2: Randy Ross
- District 3: Vacant
