File Superior Court Documents

Attorneys are required to file documents using eFile WA. Self-represented parties may file online or in person.

Before You File

All documents must:

  • Include the correct case number
  • Follow formatting rules (GR 14)
  • Include proper margins and a title page

We do not accept filings by email.

There are no fees to use eFile WA, but statutory filing fees and transaction fees apply.

Choose What You Need to Submit

This section explains how to file documents, present orders to a judge, and submit exhibits or evidence for a hearing or trial.

Proposed orders cannot be submitted through eFile WA.

To present an order:

  1. Complete the required cover sheet.

  2. Attach your proposed order.

  3. Email both to SCExparte@graysharbor.us.

If you request email return, you will typically receive a signed copy within 24 business hours.

Statutory copy fees apply.

Exhibits

  • Bring two sets
  • Submit at least 2 business days before trial
  • One for Clerk, one for Court Admin

Audio/Video Evidence

  • No USB or flash drives
  • Must request a special hearing
  • Bring copies and equipment

The Clerk does NOT accept:

  • USB flash drives
  • CDs or DVDs for filing into the case file

Audio or video evidence cannot be presented during regular Monday motion calendars.

If you want the Court to review audio/video evidence:

  • Request a special hearing date.
  • Bring three copies of your CD/DVD.
  • Provide a copy to the other party.
  • Have one copy marked as an exhibit at least two business days before the hearing.
  • Bring equipment to play the evidence in court.

The Court cannot review media files in advance due to security restrictions.

Special Filings & Policies

This section explains how to file probate documents, where to send small estate affidavits, and other filing rules that may apply to your case.

Filing a Will Before Death (Will Repository)

To deposit a will for safekeeping:

  1. Complete a Will Repository Cover Sheet.
  2. Bring the original will.
  3. Pay the $20 filing fee.

Filing a Will After Death (Will Only Filing)

If probate will not be opened:

  • File the original will with the Clerk.
  • A case number will be issued.
  • $20 filing fee applies.

Opening a Probate Case

To open a new probate case (if assets exceed $100,000 or include real property), bring:

  • Petition
  • Proposed Order
  • Original Will (if applicable)
  • Notarized Oath
  • One set of copies
  • $290 filing fee

Best filing times:
8:30–11:00 a.m. or 1:30–3:00 p.m.

Small Estate Affidavits are NOT filed with Superior Court.

Paper working copies for judges are still required unless directed otherwise by the Court.
