County Administrator Purpose

The County Administrator helps manage the daily operations of our County government and supports the work of the Board of County Commissioners. The Administrator carries out policies set by the Commissioners, coordinates the work of county departments, and helps ensure services run smoothly for residents. This role also assists with county planning, budgeting, and special projects, and works with local, state, and community partners to support county priorities. The goal is to help county government operate efficiently and provide reliable services to the people of Grays Harbor County.

What the County Administrator Does

  • Makes sure county services are delivered effectively to residents
  • Works with staff to solve problems and improve services
  • May allow flexibility in procedures when needed to keep county work moving

  • Brooklyn Road to Close April 23 for Roadside Maintenance

    The Grays Harbor County Roads Department will close Brooklyn Road on Thursday, April 23rd, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for tree removal work. The closure will occur at Mile Post 5.3 (Marker 17). Drivers should plan accordingly during this time. The county appreciates public patience with this inconvenience.

    Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office Seeks Information in Lindsey Jo Baum Case

    The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office is requesting public's assistance in the kidnapping and homicide investigation of Lindsey Jo Baum, who has been missing since June 26, 2009, in McCleary, Washington. Partial remains were later identified in Kittitas County in 2017. Hunters and outdoor recreationists are asked to report any possible findings without disturbing potential evidence sites. A reward of up to $40,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
