Grays Harbor County Commissioner Vickie Raines has announced her resignation from the Board of County Commissioners, effective March 31, 2026. She has represented District 3 since 2015 and brings more than 26 years of experience in elected public service. The Washington Department of Natural Resources has closed all access to Damon Point in Ocean Shores due to severe erosion and unsafe conditions. The City of Ocean Shores has posted no trespassing signs and restricted entry to protect public safety. The closure is necessary to prevent injury and reduce risk. The public is strongly urged to stay out of the area until further notice.
