Grays Harbor County Announces New Vehicle and Vessel Licensing Agent
The Washington State Department of Licensing has issued a Level III Breach notice to the Grays Harbor County Auditor’s Office, resulting in the termination of the vehicle and vessel licensing contract with the Auditor.
The Board of County Commissioners, working in conjunction with the Washington State Department of Licensing, has appointed Sam Kim, County Administrator, as the new vehicle and vessel licensing agent, with a focus on maintaining seamless service for the public and licensing partners. This responsibility is in addition to his current duties as County Administrator.
County Commissioners emphasize that subagents will continue their current operations without interruption. Ensuring continuity of service remains the County’s top priority, and all efforts are being made to prevent any disruption during the transition.
The County is working closely with the Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) to meet all audit and compliance requirements throughout this process. In addition, the County is committed to maintaining high operational standards in preparation for the eventual return of these responsibilities to the County Auditor.
“We are focused on a smooth and responsible transition that maintains the level of service our community expects,” said Commissioner Georgia Miller, Chair of the Board of County Commissioners. “We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our partners and the public as we move through this process.”
